This group is open to any and all, regardless of religious beliefs or lack thereof, sexual orientation, race, political beliefs or anything else that might make you "different."  The primary purpose of this group is to provide a respectul place for every single participant to seek and receive support and discuss issues related to living with Primary Immune Deficiency. The rules of the group are simple: think about whether what you say and how you say it might affect others in the group before posting. If what you are about to write assumes that everyone will agree with your point of view, will share your belief system or background, then you probably shouldn't post it here. So, for instance, discussing the way religion or spirituality is important to you in coping with your CVID is welcome.  Writing out a prayer that assumes that everyone else believes in the same God that you do is not.  Similarly, discussing your own political beliefs, sexual orientation etc. in an open way is welcome.  Doing so in a way that might be offensive or upsetting to others or make others feel unwelcome is not.  In other words, saying something like, "As a Democrat, I believe X" is fine.  Saying, "You're an idiot if you don't believe what I believe," is not.  If someone has posted something that is upsetting or offensive to another member, it's important that the person who is upset speak up or private message me.  I will take responsibility for moderating and do my best to insure that this little group remains safe to all.
