The Immune Deficiency Foundation is pleased to announce the arrival of THINK ZEBRA! 2010. As you may know, IDF created the THINK ZEBRA! program last year as a way to raise funds and promote awareness of primary immunodeficiency diseases. Why zebras, you may ask?

In medical school, many doctors learn the saying, “when you hear hoof beats, think horses, not zebras” and are taught to focus on the likeliest possibilities when making a diagnosis, not the unusual ones. However, sometimes physicians need to look for a zebra. Patients with primary immunodeficiency diseases are the zebras of the medical world. So the Immune Deficiency Foundation says “THINK ZEBRA!”

April is Primary Immunodeficiency Awareness Month, so what better time to launch THINK ZEBRA! 2010? To request a THINK ZEBRA! fundraising packet, please email frontdesk@primaryimmune.org or call 800.296.4433. Or download everything you need to get started at www.primaryimmune.org/zebra

IDF is also proud to introduce the Join the Herd! initiative. For more information on this easy way to be involved, please visit our Website. And remember to THINK ZEBRA!
